To mark our 130th anniversary, BHSF published a history of the Company, 'Best of Health'.

Today BHSF is a market-leading and progressive insurance business which helps 400,000 people with their healthcare needs. Being a not-for-profit company means we have no-one to serve but our customers and we are therefore able to offer outstanding value for money and excellent customer service.

Although what we do today is in many ways a far cry from our origins, we are very proud of our distinguished history and the many things that we have done over this long period. Our historic activities have provided very firm foundations and sound principles for today's operations.
